year again.
Scolari's team was trashed in the

7-1 in the favour of the Germans as they Brazilian star, Neymar, was not
present in the match because of the back injury he sustained. In the third
place “battle”, the Netherlands added salt to the injury by playing Brazil down
by 3-0.
Scolari, who is now 65 years old,
suppose to have his contract terminated with the Country's Football Federation this
year after the tournament. The CBF showed their gratitude to the team coach and
his fellow coaching staff. The CBF Vice president, Marco Polo del Nero, last
week offered the manager his full backing following the humiliation in the
last-four defeat by Germany.
According to scolari, he referred
the humiliation of the last two matches as the worst day of his life.
