The news that Unique Information received few
hours ago is about a man from Soshanguve, Tshwane, South Africa, that has his
wife being stolen by another because of lack of money. What a heart break…
This incidence took place between a
man called Solly Baloyi and the former wife, Nomethi Khumalo. Solly is 36 years
while Nomethi is 30years. The two got married for many years and had been
living together for long irrespective of the fact that the husband, Solly, is
not buoyant enough. As a product of the togetherness between them, they gave
birth to a daughter who is about nine years now.
Later in life, Nomethi, a wife to
Solly, joined a Charismatic Church in South Africa. The husband was happy with
such as that will make the wife go deeper in God.
As the closeness between the wife
and the pastor began to increase, Nomethi related certain things to her pastor.
In respect to that, the pastor invited the husband to Nomethi to the church for
discussion. The pastor advised Solly to go and pay lobola (bride price) so that
the woman becomes his full wife instead of sleeping and having “things” in
common with the woman without paying anything on her head.
Solly admitted what the pastor said
and decided to take a bold step though he did not have enough money for that. According
to Solly, he had only R3 000 ($280.19) in his savings account and that will not
be enough for the bride price. He decided to call his family and the elders and
they went and met Nomethi’s family.
He paid R2 000 to Nomethi’s family
in August 2013. They total money that Nomethi’s family told Solly to pay was R2
000 ($186.79). Can’t you see that the young man still has a lot to do? He promised
to pay the remaining of the money later this year.
The story changed recently as
Nomethi got married to another man because Solly did not do his work neatly. He
heard on Saturday, 12th July, 2014 that his own wife will be getting married to
another man. On Sunday Nomethi wedded with the new husband who paid everything
needed.
Solly cried bitterly and complained
why the wife did that to him. He said: “Is it because I do not have money”. When
the family of Solly went and meet the family of Nomethi, the woman’s family
said that they will give Solly the little money he paid before.
If you are a man and in the shoe of
Solly, what will you do?
