Pastor and Civil Servant Charged 150k for Fighting

It is indeed clear to every Nigerian that that the Nigerian policemen are bunch of hungry men. Again, Nigeria Law courts pay attention to things that do not matter so much.

The news that Great Information received this afternoon from Vanguard Nigerian News report is that a civilian and a pastor were sanctioned one hundred and fifty thousand naira (₦150,000) each for fighting in public. This was stated in the Law court on Tuesday, 8th July, 2014. The point is that these men received the charges for just fighting; What about those that embezzle lots of the national money in the government offices? What punishment will then be given to such persons?

The judge of senior magistrate’s court in Mararaba, Nasarawa State stated that the two disturbed the public peace. The pastor, Nathaniel Ogwuche is 31-year-old while the civil servant, Benjamin Amadi, is 43-yearold.

The prosecutor (a person who prosecutes in the Court of Law, especially on behalf of the public) of the case said that the offense contravened Section 113 of the Penal Code of Federal Republic of Nigeria.

What will you do if you are in the shoe of one of these men?
